Jazz Mural From The West Coast

Here’s another jazz mural, but this time it’s from the West Coast. This photo was taken in a park near Central Avenue in Los Angeles to commemorate its jazz heritage. When you read Book 3 of the JassOdyssey saga, you’ll be transported back to the 1940’s which was Central Avenue’s jazz heyday. You’ll read about Mingus, Young, the Woodman Brothers, Shepp’s Playhouse, and a whole lot more.

This mural mentions Club Memo, Billy Strayhorn, the Duke, and Melba Liston. It also features a man wearing a certain outfit that could have gotten “his head busted.” You’ll have to read the book to find out why.
